How I’ve Discovered Myself through the Magic of Retreats

Explore the 5 aspects that I prioritize for a retreat for women leaders in tech. Learn more about empowering experiences designed to inspire and uplift.

I hope you’re having an amazing week! If you’ve tried setting your intentions as I suggested last week, I’m eager to hear about your experience. Just hit reply to this email and share your story with me.

As I sit here this morning sipping my matcha and planning my upcoming retreat, I find myself reflecting on the most transformational retreats I’ve experienced. It was just a few years ago when I first stepped into the enchanting world of women’s retreats. Since that discovery, I’ve made it a ritual to immerse myself in at least two retreats annually. Today, I feel inspired to share with you the unique elements that, for me, weave the magic into these retreats.

A Moment of Serenity in the Chaos

Do you remember the last time you truly stepped away from the daily hustle? For me, the best retreats have always been those where I could escape into a world of tranquility. It’s almost like pressing ‘pause’ on life’s fast-forward button. These quiet moments have been my sanctuaries, places where my thoughts could wander and grow. This serenity allows me to lovingly challenge what isn’t working, and dream about what I truly want.

The Power of a Safe Space

Being self-reliant has been my mantra since childhood, but it’s in these retreat environments where I’ve learned the importance of opening up. It’s scary, right? To show where we feel weak. But in a setting that’s warm and supportive, I’ve found it’s easier to share and, in return, gain incredible insights from others. It’s a reminder that sometimes, asking for help can be our greatest strength.

Embracing Diverse Thoughts

There’s something magical about being around people who think differently than we do. In my past retreat experiences, it’s been the diversity of thoughts and backgrounds that has sparked some of my most significant shifts in perspective.

Unplugging to Reconnect

Here’s a confession: I’m as guilty as anyone when it comes to being glued to my tech. But retreats have taught me the value of unplugging. Putting away my devices created space for me to reconnect with myself. Each time I’ve done this, I’ve come back feeling refreshed and realigned.

The Quiet Before the Leap

The true essence of a retreat, for me, has always been about finding stillness. It’s in the quiet moments that I’ve found clarity and purpose. It’s like all the noise fades away, and what’s left is the true direction of my energy and focus for the time ahead.

As I plan the upcoming Women’s Vibrancy and Leadership Retreat, I’m weaving these personal insights into the fabric of our time together. My goal? To create a space where you can experience these transformations too:

  • A chance to connect, genuinely and in person.
  • An oasis to step away from overwhelm.
  • A boost of energy to reinvigorate your spirit.
  • Tools to thrive amidst life’s uncertainties.

I’m pouring my heart and soul into making this retreat a unique and invaluable experience for you. I am deeply convinced that this retreat is exactly what we, as women leaders in tech, need at this moment – a space to rejuvenate, reconnect, and realign with our deepest aspirations.
